Brain Research Project

A regional university requires qualified and experienced people to conduct research into the link between brain hemisphere dominance and team performance. Studies have shown that young people with low right or left hemisphere dominance perform better in following instructions and team game performance.

As a research project member you will be required to:

  • Become familiar with the test instrument: Braintest
  • Become familiar with the rules, proficient in playing two card games, and gain practice in organising card playing groups.
  • Plan the use of the test instrument including liasing with classromm teacher, preparing result sheets and negotiate time and date for testing.
  • Adminster Brain Hemisphere Test, collate result sheets, and organise game playing.
  • Plan the card game event including liasing with classromm teacher, selecting student teams and preparing score sheets, organise team roles (speaker, scorer, trainers, equipment officer) and negotiate time and date for testing
  • Conduct card playing event, collate score sheets and present the winners to the class.
  • Examine the results and prepare research report.
  • Prepare media release and nominate meadia spokespersons.

Registration of Interest

Register your interest online and please ensure that your responses include information about you to enable the selection panel to place your registration on a short-list of possible candidates. Closing date for registration is Monday 10 February 2020

Selection

The opportunity for individuals to get recognition for their skills means that competition for a place on this team is intense. If short-listed, you will undertake two online assessments.

Acceptance

Successful applicants will be notifed promptly and you will be given directions regarding the research project. You will have adequate support from your site supervisor as well as university staff.
