Consultant's Profile (example)
Hi I'm Mike. Veteran traveler and only 28! There are lots of places still on my list, but I have ticked off most of Asia, Europe, Canada and the US. The next big ones are South Africa and South America - maybe stay there for a few years. Travel and work, that's my life at the moment.
I got the travel bug by accident. After my first year at uni, I went home with a mate to have Christmas with his folks, only thing he lives in Norway! So it was a white Christmas for sure. Then he wanted to show me around a bit; Norway, Finland, Sweden into Russia, Poland, Germany, France, and skiing in Switzerland. By this stage we wanted to keep going so we did. We took a year off from uni and went to London to work. After a while my mate's dad got sick, so he went home, and I decided to move on too. After a good look around England, Scotland and Wales, I rode a bike around Ireland, back to London to work for a bit, then set off big-time. I worked at a summer camp in the US, but apart from that I travelled on the cheap.
Now I am back home - learning Spanish for my next working trip; and excited about this consultancy. I am good at planning and organising, and now with the Internet it is possible to put things in place in a day or two that once took weeks.
Travel has opened up my mind, enabled me to see more than my own backyard. That's probably why I have chosen the Aid Organisation tour of North Africa, to put together a tour that gets people in touch with the real issues, and hopefully, make a difference as a result of what they have seen.
